I'm getting pumped up for this race. I live in Augusta, and this is my home race. My family and friends will be there so I need to produce! There is a great pizza place in Evans, GA where we could go after the race and have a few beers and pizza. If anyone else is interested send me a message. Runnergirl is spectating and I know Swank guy is racing. Good luck to folks coming in from out of town!

I'll defintely be there spectating!  I hope more BT'ers are doing this race.  I have some TNT'ers doing the race so there will be lots of familiar faces there!  We definitely need to grab somethign to eat afterwards.  I'm sure spectating will make me very hungry

I'm in. First tri ever, so although hoping to do well(for me), I'll be happy just to finish. Augusta is my wife's hometown, and the entire family is coming with me for the weekend. Looking forward to meeting some BT-ers in person.

Hey! Sorry we are going to miss it, we are signed up for the race, but our kids are doing a youth tri that day and we can't miss their first triathlon! We will be there in spirit for sure!

Have fun and kick butt!

How long of a ride are you talking?  I'll need to ride for about 3 hours that day.  I can always cut out early if you're going farther.

Is there a way you can mark yourself besides tattoos so people know who you are?

I got a jersey and it fits on one finger. Damn you clydesdale body! I was thinking of writing "Bluejack" on my body somewhere but I don't want to confuse the race folks.

I don't think you'll confuse the volunteers.  You could always do that.  At Miami Man we wrote BT on our calf and that was fine too.  If anything the body markings is for the photographers.

I have an idea- why don't you just wear your bike helmet for the run so we'll recognize you??  He,he.

I can't wait... first tri and ready to go.  I know that Harlem Dawg will be there also - it is his first tri also.  He lives in Jackson (and a UGA grad), but we won't hold that against him...

I'm game for pizza and beer afterwards, good idea!

Hey all,

Mr Earl here. I just got to Augusta and signed up for the race. This will be my first Tri and i haven't really done much tri-specific training, but i have a very solid background in cycling and running, so i just hope the swimming i've crammed in over the last month will pay off. I'd love to meet some like minded folks in the area for maybe some long rides on the weekend? I don't really know any good spots (like spots where i'm not on the highway). Anyway, i hope to meet y'all there.

Earl

I am going to write Bluejack on my legs so yall can see me. My whole family will be at the race. I was too shy the first two races to make friends, but now that I'm a little slimmer and a BOMOP (Bottom of the middle of the pack) or perhaps a TOBOP, I feel a little better.
We are going to have so much fun!
