If you want your splits for a pool swim, I would recommend a cheap waterproof watch. Then, just set your Garmin to Multisport mode and configure it for Bike-Transition-Run. Turn it on before the race and leave it on your bike. It'll be ready to go when you're out of the water. I do this for almost all of my races. Though, I don't care too much about checking my watch during the swim portion. Plan B could be a variation of the old 'Ziploc bag under the swim cap' trick, but it could be a PITA. Then you can just set the multisport mode to Other-Transition-Bike-Transition-Run. Of course, you could always buy a 910xt... |
