My son wrote an essay for his kindergarten class on what would happen if he were noctural, their word of the week.  He closed the essay with, "The moon would be my sun."  I thought that rocked.

You can tell the outdoor temperature by counting chirps from a cricket.

Count the number of chirps in 14 seconds then add 40 = outdoor temp.

It takes approximately 240 milliseconds for a signal to be transmitted up to a Geo-Stationary Satellite and another 240 back down.....that's because the satellites we use are just over 22 thousand miles or 35 thousand kilometers high!!

I'm not a chef, cell phone salesman, doctor, or water treatment plant operator, teacher, ect... I was just answering the question.

Without electricity, you have none of the above.... except maybe basic education.

My profession is a little questionable as to what it is...but...did you know that dryer sheets work well as a cleaning rag? I used it recently to clean up the non-cooking surfaces on our stove/oven and microwave. Even if you don't fry - you still manage to get a bit of grease and some dust. Wet a dryer sheet and it comes right off! And you can re-wet/rinse a few times because it holds up fairly well (won't rip).

Oh and it seems like the flow of traffic/pick-up process for elementary schools is a big...messed up thing.

Althought the Cheeta is widely considered the fastest land animal (@ ~70 mph), the Pronghorn Antelope can sustain 60 mph speeds much longer than a cheetah due to its larger heart and lung. Thus the antelope makes for a better triathlete, although bike fitting might be a pain.

Some more info about the pronghorn - they are great runners, but not very good jumpers.  Jumping is not an innate ability with the pronghorn like it is with deer.  When confronted with a fence, the great majority of pronghorn will attempt to go under it, as opposed to over.

It is believed that they only learn to jump over a fence by watching other animals (deer) do it.

So You know about the lasers then huh?  OK

B-cells (one of the cells of the immune system) mature in the bone marrow but are called B-cells because they were first discovered in the Bursa Fabricius in birds.

How about: Einstein did not receive his Nobel prize for special or general relativity he received it for his explanation of the photoelectric effect.  Relativity was still too controversial at the time to garner the prize.

Pi is not the only transcendental number.   e1 and  ln(2) will lead the revolt to usurp pi's lead position.    The square root of 2 will be their lieutenant.     It's simply a matter of professional jealousy.

It is imposable for newer Hyundais to have an unintended acceleration (accelerate on their own). If you even two foot drive in an automatic its common for have a loss of power and set codes.

The only time a golfer can play two golf balls and have both of them count for score is during a three-ball match when his ball is deflected or stopped by one of the other players.  He must play one ball as it lies and must replay a second ball.
