Subject: RE: anyone here live in Vancouver BC?Yeah, our housing prices are a bit crazy. Check out this blog. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else in Canada though and very few places in the US. Vancouver is beautiful. So for now, I'm quite happy with my $350,000 700 square foot apartment. I live in the West End and would have a hard time moving from this location. It's downtown, close to public transport, a couple of blocks from the beach, near awesome restaurants, good bike rides, close to Stanley Park. If I moved though, I'd look at South Granville area (lack of grocery stores within walking distance) or Kitsilano or Pt. Grey neighbourhood. Commercial drive and Main street areas are popular too. I don't have children so can't help you out with schools, but there's this report on schools in the GVRD. Where will your job be? |
