Subject: Online Dating.... stories from my friend
All right, so I posted before about ANOTHER friend who has been online dating, and I asked some questions in reference to her situation.

My OTHER friend (yes, it really is two different people), has been online dating as well. She has some pretty funny stories, and I think the way she writes is hilarious!

Anyways, if you are online dating... single... or just need a good laugh, check out her blog:

http://www.tsmisadventuresandrandommusings.blogspot.com/

AND I'm not "promoting" for her... I just thought about making this thread after seeing the BT Dating thread and all the comments about some poor online dating experiences.

Oh, and she also camps a lot and went to Nepal recently, so that's a good read too.

Back in my single years I had a few dates that were noteworthy because of their badness. I should've blogged about them!

These were funny though. And as a half-Asian, I don't understand the Yellow Fever. It works out well for my Asian sistahs though. Sometimes.

Slightly off-topic, but perhaps my idea of "fit" and a majority of other people's idea of "fit" differ.  I"m 0 for 3 with "fit women".  I'm not asking that you did an IM last week, but walk/jogging a 5k last year does not make you a runner today.

Sorry...had to vent.

Just require them to show you proof of a current USAT or USA Cycling membership

Ugh. I hear ya on that. Same goes for adventures and traveling in my book. I think because as triathletes we have such a different definition of "active" as opposed to the general public. I am also having difficulty finding "adventurous" men in my area. I find that most of them are a bunch of affliction wearing sissies. :P

Yeah, I was telling my coworker that my friends idea of "fit" is probably a bit warped because she (Um, yes, you tnguyen1) is around people who workout 8-10-15+ hours a week! Some guy who walks on a treadmill for 30 minutes, 3 times a week is "active" to some... but not to someone who is around a bunch of triathletes! Ha!

Seriously though, if I ever had to date again, I know I would have a huge issue finding a "fit" person myself. I'm pretty sure I'd meet a bunch of middle aged men with guts telling me they are fit because they golf once a week!

Why is it so hard to find a 6'+, 190-220lb, dark hair, blue eyed guy, with a decent job who likes to travel, be at least moderately active, love animals, and can cook? Oh, and likes me in return...

I don't think I'm asking for too much!!
