Champion 26509 Sydney | Subject: Sky Procycling TDF Challenge Thread Hi, Welcome to the team all the other teams fear on the roads of France in 2012... Team Sky... The team will be lead with Bradley Wiggans, the British cyclist who has had a perfect Tour De France lead up this year winning several major lead in races as well as monstering his key competitiors....he will be strongly supported by Australian duo Richie Porte and Michael Rogers. There is also the 'small' matter of the defending Green (sprint) jersey winner from 2011 in Mark Cavendish... 'Cav' is considered the fastest sprinter in the world and only a few have bested him in competition this year... Your BT team is looking like a chatty one: ceilidh itsallrelative Maine Tiffanator TriAya ukweeble wgraves7582

Veteran 444 | Subject: RE: Sky Procycling TDF Challenge Thread I Say Sky takes not only yellow with Wiggins, but green with Cav and, most importantly, bragging rights in the TdF BT challenge. I've already knocked out 42 of my 300 miles this morning. Planning another 25 or 30 tomorrow night. |

Member 892 England | Subject: RE: Sky Procycling TDF Challenge Thread Hello fellow skyriders. looking to hold up the Brit end of the challenge as we take this year by storm. Now, i've not done one of these before, so i need talking through the tactics of how to put together my targets so they are a) achievable for me and b)score well for the team. Is it based on mileage, , consistently doing it by specific days that you have allocated, a combination of all of these things or something entirely different? Help. |

I've completely forgotten, but it's doing it for as many days as you've allocated (doesn't have to be specific days, just a total of days, "Stages"), and at least 15min cycling/stationary/paddleboating per day/Stage you declared. You can do it by mileage if you like. Examples: 9 days cycling, 180 minutes total 19 days cycling (that'd be every Stage of the Tour), 200km total |

And what if people commit to the same amount of time? is it then measured on the mileage they have done whilst racking up the time? Am i worrying too much. Should i STFU. |

Champion 26509 Sydney | Subject: RE: Sky Procycling TDF Challenge Thread Basically you have 2 goals: 1 - Time OR Distance 2 - Number of sessions Each of the goals represents 50% of your total.... you CANNOT exceed 100% but you CAN increase your goal during the challenge... |

No, you should HTFU and get cycling For those of you who think I'm being mean, this is how Allen best responds ... to hard spanking Nah, it's PERCENTAGE of reaching your goals that determines win. |

Unfortunately, we can't talk about that until the end of Stage 3. Forum rules regarding TdF spoilage and such for those who record to view later. To answer your question, yes, you can do more than 1 stage in 1 day, provided they're at least 15 min each. For example, a bike commute that's 15 min or longer each way could count as 2 stages. Also remember you don't get more credit for more stages ... just the percentage you actually do. |

Veteran 444 | Subject: RE: Sky Procycling TDF Challenge Thread Ok, I've filled out my info so far. I think I did it all right. 67.15 miles of 300 done! I think I'll take today off biking, ran 4 miles this morning and will probably swim later, but I celebrate my 1 year anniversary of my first ride on my tri bike tomorrow and I'm off work, so who knows what I'll end up doing. 25 miles for sure, maybe more! |
