another scene from a coffee shop...

Small white work truck, a Ford Ranger parked on the street. There is a standard extension ladder, bright orange, mounted over the bed & cab of the truck, extending about 3 feet behind the tailgate, right around 5' high. BIG bumper sticker saying "safety is my goal" with a 1-800 number (AM I SAFE, lol). The driver even placed an orange cone..the big tall traffic knee high kind with reflective striping...at the rear corner of the truck, presumably to warn people. (HE IS SAFE after all...)

A jaywalker still manages to walk right into the ladder while he had his head turned to the side chatting with his friend.

I'm not laughing at the guy who hit is head...cuold have been serious..but the whole scene is amusing...it wasn't till after I heard the guy hit his head that I ALSO saw the orange cone and the safety sticker... What's a driver to do??
