Master  2277    Lake Norman, NC |  Subject: Gonna be a sucky weekend. DRINK HEAVILY!Got my semi-annual CT scan today and they called back awfully quick with the radiology report. Throat looks just fine, but something doesn't look good with my liver. Masses or lesions. Something going on. While I'm 99.9% certain it's nothing (I went through a scare 7 years ago, and it was nothing). But my Oncologist is going to freak on Monday. And to be honest, 99.9% still leaves 0.1% and that's enough to mess with my head. I gotta remember to stop doing these tests late in the week and then wait until Monday for more answers! Idiot! Looks like it's going to be another weekend of heavy drinking, Monty Python and Kevin Smith movies! Clerks and scotch! Hey - If my liver is going to F with me... I'm going to F it up first! |

Nothing is worse than the waiting game. I go in for scans on Monday and don't get the report until the next day. Seems like every time they get alarmed about something like spots in my lungs that end up being from a cold. It is very stressful and a few beers do seem to calm my nerves a bit. I think that you already know that you just go on and live each day to the fullest. Kiss your wife more, hug your kids more, fish more, just enjoy all that you have been blessed with. |

The army chicks are simply trained how to be MORE defensive. The problem aren't the girls... It's the Middle Eastern dudes! Israeli men, Arab men, Persian men... Some of the most chauvinistic, nasty, dawg, guys in the world! "Hey baby. So you like me, yes? You want to sleep with me now, yes?" Israeli girls are trained from an early age how to keep the pigs at bay. When I say, "hi," they hear, "I want to have pizza with you." I had 3 girlfriends when I lived there, all Israeli. But never when I was actually serving. As a "yeled lavan tif'ash" (stupid white boy), I wasn't given much leave time. The closet equivalent to "bon courage, mon ami de guerre" would be "el tahiros aht" ... "Don't f*** up."

Haven't been to Israel but did a bit of time in Beirut in '83. Saw that particular attitude in the indigenous population. We were busy and had no time to explore relations with said indigenous population, subset female. Oo la. Edited by MadMathemagician 2012-09-14 2:33 PM |
