We're leaving for DisneyWorld this afternoon to enjoy the Halloween bash at Magic Kingdom and Food & Wine Festival at EPCOT. Anybody have any insider tips or "can't misses"? I don't really know what to expect.

I was just there for the F&W festival last weekend.  It is best to go on a weekday because the weekends get very crowded.  Most stores sell mini size gift cards that are attached to a rubber band.  you can put money on there and hold it on your wrist - makes it much easier to pay at the food kiosks since you don't have to dig around your bag or wallet every time.  When you run out of money you can add more at many of the kiosks and I think all of the stores.  I am not a very adventerous eater but try to pick a new food to try each year.  This year I tried a lamb meatball that was very good (I asked for the red stuff on the side though)  Always make sure to make a quick stop in the caramel shop in Germany if you like sweets - so good!  I'm not a big wine or fancy beer drinker so I usually just found the side booths that sold Bud Light.

Here is a website with the menus for each country - maybe you can print it out and pick some things you want to try while you are on the plane.  You will get full faster than you think!

The new section of Fantasyland is almost done.  There is a little show with Belle (called Enchanted Tales with Belle) that is supposed to be very cute (if you have kids who want a picture with Belle they have to volunteer to be in the show) and a Little Mermaid ride.  They are not officially open but have been reported to be open the past few weeks off an on.  This morning I read that they have been open during the Halloween party.

I don't know the last time you went, but they are now enforcing the return times on Fast passes.  If it says be back between 1-2 you have to be there on time.  In the past they didn't care if you came any time after 1.

Have a great time - I hope the tropical storm doesn't impact your trip too much!  I am planning a Christmas time trip right now.

Oh, also, if you can try to get to the F&W right when it opens at 11.  The lines get long but they do move pretty fast.

And I forgot to tell you my favorite drink - the Grey Goose Citrus Slushie at the Kiosk by the lake in France - like frozen lemonade!  Warning - I had $50 on my gift card and ordered 2 with a floater on top of each - I think it was about $35!  Oops!

There is a cool tequilla bar inside Mexico that sells all sorts of crazy margaritas - my husband's favorite is the cucumber jalapeno.  The line gets SO long later in the day though, so if you like tequilla I'd go that way as soon as you get in.

Thank you so much! I was hoping you would have some thoughts. Great info, just like last time! Thanks again.

I'm such a sucker for Disney posts.  If I ever become a fugitive they could weed me out by baiting me with Disney questions...

I would say to go check out the Theme Park board at disboards.com, but I don't think you have time!

Whatever time you've alloted for Epcot, double it. I could spend days there.

Kids?  If so let them do the Agent P thing. (It used to be Kim Possible but it's been updated)...

It's a great way for the kids to explore the country exhibits around Epcot.  Honestly it was fun for the adults too.
