@audiojan - I do not know if a Cervelo will work for me perse. I am simply going by what a couple people in other states have told me they use. Hence I was looking for something from that brand. I've had a fitting perse to size 48. Beyond that, the bike shop says that I should pick a bike and then they can make adjustments to the rest...if that makes any sense. aside from adjusting bars, I dont know what else would need to be done. what type of bike do you suggest?
Size 48cm what? Cervelo? And if so, P2 or P3? Size denomination has no real meaning unless you also know exactly what brand and model... there's no standard what a size denomination means nor how measurements are taken.
Yes, you can adjust a bike to a certain degree, but the further you need to move to the extremes (i.e. shorten the reach/elongate the reach, or reduce the stack/heighten the stack ), the more of a compromise you will be forced to live with. Think about it this way, do you the bike to fit YOU (i.e. bike fit FIRST and then buy the right bike ), or do YOU want to fit the BIKE (i.e. making the bike work ). |
