Subject: RE: Trainer Road on an Unsupported Trainer The issue is really the power curve. You have to pick a trainer to use. When you use that trainer TR has a power curve that says at 15mph the power to turn that wheel is 150 at 16mph it is 170 at 17 it is 185. It is actually a formula of some kind but you get the idea. If your trainer takes a LOT more power to go from 200 to 210 than the trainer you picked it could be hard to hold the power numbers even if your FTP is right. Or you could be going WAY easier than you should be. That said - It will likely be OK, just not ideal. I would strongly recommend talking to Nate and Reid and seeing if they can find and add your trainer in the list. It might be rebranded from something else. It took them about 4 hours when they added mine. Of course that was back when they still had day jobs. |
