Run
Comments: I ran too fast the first mile -- 7 min mile. Energy was good for the first 5k -- slightly faster than my regular race pace, 21:00. I heard so much about the cardic hill that I decided to slow down my pace. The hill was not as bad I imagined. Alas, did not hydrate enough. I tried to drink but my body refused to compile. I thought I could make my targeted goal as I pass mile 6 but I was wrong. My knees and body were slowing down. Instead of pushing, I decided to play safe. I still have 2 months of racing to do. What would you do differently?: Drink more and pace better. Work on speed and continue hill work. Post race
Warm down: Hydrate and strecthing. What limited your ability to perform faster: Inexperience. Need to plan a better race. Some speedwork will definitely improve my overall running. Event comments: Fun race. Now I know what to expect from this race. Sweet, I made top 1000 in my group. Last updated: 2006-07-04 12:00 AM

Early morning drive to Tony's for carpooling. MARTA was packed. I have never seen so many runners on one spot. Surreal.
Stretched in the holding pen. I should have run a little but I was too nervous due to the size of this race. Stand and waited for the race.
