Subject: Messages? Where are they? Notifications?

Probably just blind again, but I cannot find out how to get to messages.  Even sent myself one using the link in the profile picture pop up box to see what would happen, and thus far no luck.

Seeking a roadmap . . .

I can get to them by hovering over my username in the upper right corner (red box, Hello, Artemis).  There is a link for Inbox.
