Ok the ground rules...

Everyone must post their training in their logs and make their logs Public. If your new to logging feel free to PM me with any questions you may have.  Every Monday around Noon I'll check your logs for the previous week data and add it to the Spreadsheet.  If it looks like I have all the data for everyone I'll post the spreadsheet on the thread.  If not I'll hold off to the evening time then post it.  Window to join is open and I'll close it on midnight of Aug 6th (1 week).  Note I will be traveling on business with limited access from Aug 12th to Aug 18th.  Week may have some delays in getting the results out unless someone wants to help out on Monday 8/14.

We have a good number participating, 25 and counting, so I organizing 4 teams, for now they are simply the Red (team1)Green (team2), Blue (team3) and Orange (team4) teams.  This should help to keep things interesting!  Remember this is to help make training a bit more motivational and not kill ourselves!  If anyone wants to name their team, shoot a post here.  Overall team winners gets bragging rights and the losers will have to at least add something to their signature line.  I'm open for ideas!

Injury or Illnesses; God forbid, if you happen to get sick or injured please note this in your logs and use the "Injured/Sick" drop box, we mayl cut you some slack if a lot of time is lost!

Attached is the initial spreadsheet with everyone's goals added

Let me know if you have any question or comments, good luck and happy training everyone...

Don

I'd like to join in on this. I am just getting back into training since my departure last Feb and this would be great motivation to keep me doing something other than running (which is easiest for me since I can do that right outside my front door). Can we go with 3000m swimming and a conservative 250 miles on the bike?

May I join too please?  For 31 July to 3 September I'm aiming for:

50,000 metres swim

5 kilometres run

(A bit of a discrepancy because I'm carrying a minor injury, currently not running but hoping to be able to pick it up again towards the end of this month).

OK everyone that wanted to join since Monday is in, I'll post the update team list spreadsheet later today.  We have a BIG number of people in on this, we should have some fun with the teams!  So who are the instigators of the group!!!

Just wanted you all to know I woke up this morning after only 6.5 hours of sleep knowing that I had a 45 min swim scheduled and wanted to blow it off.  Did I, NO! Because that would not have been a good example now would it

Get out, SWIM and RUN!

Don

Okay... so I'm just gettting back into this therefore its taking me a little bit of trial and error in figuring out how much of what I can expect in a month. I increased my swim goal since I'm already half way to my original goal. Here are the new numbers.

Swim: 4500m
Bike: 150 miles
Run: 50 miles

I'm just curious whats going on with this challenge. I haven't heard anything for awhile, all I know is that the blue team, or what used to be the blue team plans on kickin' some butt.

I'm in.  While I have done some long runs and some speed work since Eagleman, I haven't been really doing run training (end of June through most of July is really the only down time I will this year until like December, as I also did a spring marathon and plan to do another one in Nov).  So it is time for me to get out of maintenance mode and onto training mode again(started yesterday).

Swim 35000 yards

Run 15 hours

Hey, if it's not too late to get in on this, mark me down for...

9000 meters swim

30 miles run

I am still new to Tri, these goals would far exceed anything I have done to date.

Thanks
