Swim
What would you do differently?: Line up to the right and swing wide of the first turn. Would have saved me some time and aggravation. Transition 1
Comments: Fairly long zig-zag run to transition area. Ran all the way from swim to the transition. As I was going, I said, "is this the run" to a lady that was also running. She laughed. Good times! Very crowded getting on the bike. What would you do differently?: Probably would mount the bike as soon as I exited the transition area. Bike
Comments: Biked as hard as I could but kept my pulse under 155. A good bike ride for me. What would you do differently?: Nothing on the bike. Transition 2
Comments: Lost shoe at dismount and had to go back to retrieve it. Lost about 30 seconds. What would you do differently?: Have to be careful not to twist foot when getting off bike so that shoes don't come off bike. Run
Comments: Would like to have gone faster but it was just too hot for me!!! Bike portion was 3.5 instead of 3.1. So my pace is actually 8:30 instead of 9:30. What would you do differently?: Nothing on run. Ran as hard as I could ... Post race
Event comments: Great race. Lots of volunteer which is nice. However, transition at the beginning of the race was a little crazy. Lots of folks coming in late and crowding into the bike rakes at the last minute. SWAG bag was probably a little better than most races of this size. The city of Waco really supports this race and it is a nice venue. This is a favorite for me. Last updated: 2014-05-09 12:00 AM

Got up at 5am to make it down to the race venue. Tried to stay at Hilton too late and the place was booked. We stayed at Hampton instead. Okay hotel but would have been nice to roll out of bed and go down to the race.
