Subject: RE: OWS in Mont-Tremblant? Very late response but if you go back to Mont-Tremblant, look for "Parc du Mont-Tremblant" which is a national park. There are no motorized boats there and the lakes distances are calculated in Kilometers so you will not have issues finding a quiet spot. You will probably not be watched neither so make sure you take the necessary safety precautions. The principle here is quite simple, nobody will prevent you from getting outside the beach areas but you have to assume your own safety.
There is a small fee to access the park, less then 10$.
On the way to Mont Tremblant, on the highway 15, there is another village named Ste-Adele where a lot of people practice open water swimming. Calm, roughly 1km diameter. Big enough so you are not bothered but also small enough you can see your whole surroundings and feel a bit safer. This is where I go when I acompany people for the first time. The lake name is "Lac rond".
If other people see this post, I would be curious to know about other good OWS places in the Laurentians. Edited by Antoine tri 2015-10-03 8:24 AM
