Subject: I can't read anyone else's blog! help!
Ever since I've gotten the new DSL, I haven't been able to look at anyone else's blog.

I've tried every possible link: my friends list, the BT blogger page, and log button in the forum. The page will load but then my browser shuts down. This happens even if I open the link in a new page. And, I've used both Netscape 8 and Internet Explorer 7. It happens whether or not I have my security software on or off and my firewall on or off.  I can only navigate through my very own blog.

What's going on? Can anyone help me?

Ok, let's rule in or out a problem with the Java Runtime.

  • Go to your Training Settings
  • Under Defaults and Preferences find the setting called View others mini-graphs and set it to 'No'.
  • Look at someone elses blog and see if the problem happens again.

Have you had any success yet Marina?

I am on a brand-new computer at my inlaws and experienced a very similier thing and had to allow 'Java' before anyones blog could be loaded-of course windows prompted me to allow Java to run and it was all better.
