Subject: WTB: 50cm Road or tri bike for my wife
I'm looking for a 50 or 51cm road or tri bike for my wife.  She is 5'6" and 130lbs, give or take.  We are both saving for graduate schools so money is tight but I'd love to get her into biking more.  She wants to do it too! She'd like something that is 2003 or newer.  Anybody got anything to offer?

My wife has a 2004 Trek 5200, 50cm. Totally stock bike with full Ultegra, Bontrager
Wheels. Bike has been ridden minimally and care for by my local bike shop.

or look at the Giant OCR 3, its would be new but it is not too expensive, you can probably find one at a LBS for around $600.

went out to the LBS today and the wife changed her mind again.  Now she just wants a hybrid, Trek 7.2 or 7.3.  She wants to wait a while before getting a road/tri bike....couldn't change her mind.  Thanks for the tips though.

If you want to spend $$$ and still get a good deal I have a 59cm Javelin Barolo for $3k and a 51cm Javelin Arcole for $2k. If you are interested I can send pics and part lists and all, but that is a lot of $$ to spend on a first bike.
