Subject: RE: Is this a flat/easy or normal HIM bike leg? The chart says you climb a total of 863'/ 263m. I would consider it a flat to moderate amount of climbing. I can only judge based on my own HIM races and they've been 700m and more for the bike route. If you're not used to riding on hills you should ride any hills you can or find a good climb and just ride up a few times. If this route seems like a lot of climbing to you the more hills you can climb the less troublesome they will be. Also, peddle hard on the downhill parts so you can run up the next hill as far as possible. Have fun and let us know how you make out. |
