Swim
Comments: Swam waay to hard at the start. I was out of breath, gassed and had to turn over to backstroke to regain composure and let my heart settle. I should never to this again without training for it. I wasted lots of time just on my back. and since the current was against me, I was barely making any forwared movement if at all and may have been sliding back. What would you do differently?: Start easy or medium and settle into the pace for the race. Transition 1
Comments: No time waas captured for t1. It was smooth and I didn't have any issues. I did not put shoes on the bike. I took the time to put on socs also. What would you do differently?: 1 Bike
Comments: Good hard ride. I made up some time on the bike. I kept up with those that are good riders. Brian Frew and Mike Pirnat for instance finished right around the same time on the bike. I had no cramping at all. No feelings even close to cramping. So this was a good thing!! Transition 2
Comments: Smooth and fast. No time was captured for t2 Run
Comments: Lots of shade on this run. I am not feeling any pain so I'm only limited by my fitness. If I can get back to where I was a few years ago, I'll be very very happy. Post race
Warm down: Walked around. Hung out with Mike Pirnat and his wife (Red) and one of their friends. What limited your ability to perform faster: Better execution of the swim. Better fitness on the Run. Last updated: 2015-06-20 12:00 AM

Put on wetsuite and swam from the t1 area to the swim start which was across the river. Then I swam around a bit over there.
