Champion 10157 Alabama | Subject: Trump approval rating I've been noticing the approval are as different as the polls were. Trump's approval rating ranges from 39% to 59% depending on the poll you choose to believe. How the heck can ther be that big of a difference? |

Data becomes meaningful when the assay is conducted numerous times and analyzed in aggregate. For the data you speak of, real clear politics does exactly this and has his approval at 42%: http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/other/trump_favorableunfavo... |

Most of the polls show approval going up....even the fringe polls show he is going up. Gonna be hard for the media to spin....but the will. Edited by Rogillio 2017-01-27 2:01 PM |

Now you're just being ridiculous. QB's are never rated when Jupiter is in retrograde. That only applies to wide receivers and tight ends. |

Expert 2373 Floriduh | Subject: RE: Trump approval rating Approval ratings do count, but it is not the driver of public opinion just a reflection of it. Right now, Trump's approval ratings are more-or-less where is popular vote total was and really nothing more. If the WH does not fix the gaffes they had in the first week then it will likely not improve much, those of us on the fence about this guy will not be swayed in his favor. Nevertheless, I, for one, will give him a chance. These guys are amateurs and amateurs make mistakes. More problematic is the constantly mixed signals coming out of this administration. Huddle up guys, get you gameplan down, confusion is not a good way to run a country. And no, they are not playing 4D chess, these guys would be challenged with checkers right now... He'd still act the same. |

I recognize that it's subjective, but in just about every metric I can see Trump has done more than any other President in history on his first week. Even staunch opponents are amazed that he's actually acting on his campaign promises. As for the chess game, he is hitting so hard and so fast on every single front that the DNC and lapdog media can't even attempt to mount an opposition. It's like Mattis is driving the shock and awe strategy and it's brilliant. I've been a staunch supporter of Trump since he first announced and I'm utterly shocked at how amazing he as been. He's far greater than anything I could of dreamed of so far. |

He's far greater than anything I could of dreamed of so far. I don't expect his approval rating will ever go up. He could flip 180 degrees and go full bore democrat via executive orders. He could run straight off the dnc platform and they'd still btich. Because they need to be the ones controlling the gifts. Gifts are votes. The media would report the dnc talking points as to why Trump's actions are racist or unconstitutional and the sheep would follow. You can't sway low information. Champion 10157 Alabama | Subject: RE: Trump approval rating Rutro! Rasmussen has Trump approval at 53%....up from 47. My guess in the latest SCOTUS pick will drive him up even more. What's a liberal to do? Boycott the committee? Nope, rule change. Decision made without you. |

There's no question that Trump is doing a lot of controversial stuff, but American's as a whole are behind what he's doing. Depending on what survey you look at 60%-70% of people are in support of the Visa restrictions that everyone has been in an uproar about lately. Obviously there are people that oppose all of these things as well, but en masse there are more people that support these things than oppose them and his approval ratings are going upwards as a result. |
