Subject: POTUS Question
Got word that one of the main arteries in my town will be closed this afternoon as the Presidential motorcade would be passing thru headed to downtown. Not sure why he is coming here unless it for strange. (yes, that joke was intentional. If you didn't get it....I live in Alabama) When Sessions (on or Alabama's senators) became AG, Strange was appointed by the governor. Now he is in a run-off election with a true conservative, Judge Roy Moore who is somewhat a Jesse James type folk hero in Alabama.

Sorry for the long intro that has nothing to do with this thread. I got to thinking, if by some happenstance, I ran into the POTUS on the drive home tonight, what would I say to him? Would I offer him some advice? Or would I choke?

If you had his ear to a couple of minutes, what would you talk about? Frankly, I can't think of any common interests a po redn)eck from Louisiana/Alabama and a rich elite from NYC have in common. If I told him "Roll Tide" he'd probably have no idea what I said.

I'd tell him to have Melania hold his iPhone for the next three years. Ask her to change his password on twitter while we're at it. Order a hit on John McCain?

Yesterday, I ran into my Senator at a barbecue joint.  There were several things that ran through my head to say to him, but I let him enjoy his chicken.  No way I can vote for him again, no self respecting Texan orders chicken at a barbecue joint.

BTW, I saw a clip of John McCain that was recorded after he was shot down in Vietnam.  President Trump should be ashamed - deferring the draft due to a bone spur on his heel and then running his mouth about McCain's service to the country.

Since when is shame a part of politics on any level or party affiliation?

True, but I still can't vote for someone that orders chicken at a barbecue joint.

C'mon Tony.....don't miss a chance to protest.....it's all the rage you know.  Last night I worked a protest of 50-100 parents who were protesting the fact that their kids were given tardies for walking out of school in protest over the police shooting verdict here.  I was dumbfounded.......my parents would have beat me for skipping school to protest anything. LMAO

It was a protest to protest the reaction to a protest by protesting parents of protesters.....or something....I need a scorecard.....but I felt really left out.

Most of them left by 8pm.....my guess is they wanted to catch the NFL players protesting on Monday Night Football. HA!

That is hilarious. It shows the mentality that "protesting" trumps everything. It's ok to smash windows and loot building because you were protesting.

People have been saying the NFL have the first amendment right to protest. But their protest has nothing to do with the first amendment. The first amendments protects the government from limiting your speech. If you work for Walmart and are preaching sharia law to customers and pizzing them off WM has the right to fire you.
