Comments: My goal was to beat 10min/mile pace as I just started training about a month ago. I went out faster than I would have liked, but knew I would because of the spectators lining the roads in anticipation of the parade. First mile was 8:37. Settled in a bit once I got into the neighborhood. Struggled a little with the hills in the middle of race but overall was happy with the day. What would you do differently?: Run outside more for training Post race Warm down: Walked around a bit before heading back into cafeteria for some food. What limited your ability to perform faster: Limited amount of training leading up to race. Event comments: Overall the race was good. I could have done a little better but was excited to get out and give myself a benchmark leading into a couple sprint tri's next year. Team Magic did a great job with setup and tons of volunteers to help. Last updated: 2017-12-11 12:00 AM |
