I'm pretty close to TCU, and the Kinesiology department there is running some sort of study on the effect of a high carbohydrate mouth rinse on cycling performance. I fit the subject profile, so am able to participate. They let me hook up my own power meter to the bike, so I'm able to track my power and heart rate. Interesting stuff. 6:10 - 30km time trial for the study. About a minute slower than last week's. I'm at the beginning of a cold, and had to do a high carb diet (75%!!!) yesterday. I suspect both had an impact. I'm supposed to do a strength workout at lunch. Should be fun. Have a great day! |
