So two men were asked to leave a Starbucks for loitering. Evidently they did not buy anything and were asked to leave. They refused so Starbucks called the police and they were arrested.

Sounds reasonable to me. I don't go to Starbucks as I refuse to pay $5 for a cup of joe. But I also would not hang out at Starbuck and use their free Wi-Fi, table and chairs without buying anything. And if I were asked to leave I would leave or expect to be arrested.

But wait, these men were black. Apparently Starbuck's loitering policy only applies to black men....or so the implication goes. So now one of the most liberal companies in the country is being called racists and has a PR nightmare on their hands. Oops.

Considering there were accounts of others there that had been present longer without buying anything and were not asked to leave and were Caucasian might be the issue.

Oh, I did not see that in the article I'd read. Yeah, that would be an issue.

I truly chuckle about those that want to punish every company that does something wrong.  Even if this were the worst case scenario and the employee was a raging racist and only wanted to throw out minorities, it's pretty obvious that it's an individual employee with the problem.  If anyone on earth thinks Starbucks as a corporation has a policy of racism or intolerance in any way, they're truly blind.
That being said, it is downright amusing to me to watch the left eat their own.  The most liberal of companies in the US is still not good enough and must be punished...  reeeeeee
On a side note, this super tolerant company has now ordered all employees to not call the police under any circumstance no matter what people are doing.  Way to sacrifice these poor kids at the altar of tolerance.
Oh, and thank you for making more Trump voters.  ;-)

That should draw in tons of non-paying customers....homeless people looking to stay warm for several hours, kids wanting to surf porn on the internet, bag ladies begging customers, folks proselytizing brand of religion, drug dealers looking to hang out and look for potential customers, salesmen looking to sell vacuums, prostitutes looking to turn tricks......

OK, maybe a bit draconian....but why not just say, "Use your best judgement and treat people fairly and equally."

I actually like that Trump, unlike Obama, does not weigh in on local law enforcement issues. But he is a teetotaler so a coffee summit would be right up his ally.
