Subject: Hole in tire
I have a race Saturday and noticed I have two small holes in my rear tire. The holes do not go all the way through the tire and hold air fine. I have a spare and was going to change the tire out, but I was wondering if this was safe to ride on or if there was a way to fill the holes. The tire is essentially brand New.

Hi Nickster,

Those look like Continental GP 4000s in which case those are likely the tread wear indictaors,

So if you are seeing those it is a very good thing, your tread has lots of life left!
