Good Morning BT!

5:45 AM - 10K run work out.  After struggling to pace runs by feel for the past 5-6 weeks I went back to looking at the heart rate every 90 seconds for most of the run.  So it looks like my pace by heart rate is about 25-30 second per mile slower in the warmer and more humid summers that it is during the winter months.  I am going to stick with the Heart rate for a least a few weeks to get things back on target.

I’m definitely a good 30 seconds per mile slower in the Georgia summer heat. Heart rate gets up pretty quick if I’m not watching it.

Today was a “get it done” workout. Didn’t feel like doing any training, but managed to get on the trainer for some low cadence work. 1x12’ with 4’ rest followed by 1x6’ with 4’ rest. Finished off the session with 5’ of heat training. No ac or fan for the last bit.

Hoping I’m more motivated for an afternoon run tomorrow.

Ya...I have felt that way for a few weeks.  I have got the workouts done but the motivation was not there.  I finally took a clue and made this a rest week.  I think after a solid week of rested that I will feel more motivated and get some of the spring to my step back.
