We got one a couple of months ago.  It's basically a fancy spin bike, and my wife loves it.  As far as training goes, far better than nothing and it has decent adjustability for trying to mimic your road bike position, but with the fly wheel and large Q factor (distance between pedals) it's just a totally different feel.  At about $1K cheaper than the Peloton I think it's a better value, but the interface is a little wonky.  We got the one without the integrated touch screen and I just put an old Android tablet on it.

I don't know, but the touch screen never bothered me. Probably because I've never gotten used to touch screen phones and have found them annoying since they appeared, but that's a whole different topic! And yes, the Echelon training bike is definitely a good purchase, I don't have any issue with mine.
