Swim
Comments: Swim went OK. I was trying to relax and swim smoothly, which I think I did well. First 200m navigation was tough, going across/down current. Once I got out into the main current, though, and coming back in adn I felt like I sighted pretty werll. Never pushed too hard, and felt really good at the end. I should've peed again riught before starting thouhg, as I had to back float for 15 sec to pee half way through the swim. Was 70 sec slower than last year, but I definitely felt better this year getting out of the water. Would've been 37/170 overall What would you do differently?: pee again right before the start Transition 1
Comments: Went pretty smoothly. Ran up to T1 wihtout much knee pain, got suit off quickly, and took off. 50 sec faster than last year. 1th faster T1 out of 170. What would you do differently?: nothing Bike
Comments: I felt like I was riding very hard and was a little disappointed with my time. My Garmin was 30 sec faster than what they had me timed for, though. Per my Garmin, I negative split the loops by 20 sec, which I was pleased with. NP was 212, but avg P was 206, so kept it pretty steady the whole way. IF was only 0.758, and I need to get this up to 0.8at least. Not sure why htis was slower than last year, as I'm in better shape this year, and I felt like I couldn't have gone much faster. Post race
Warm down: walked around, ate a bit and drove home. Event comments: Great venue and location. Very organized. Fun course, great post-race spread. Last updated: 2024-08-12 12:00 AM
