Hey Team PoF, how did the Second week go for you

For the good of the group, please post your swim totals for the week (4th-10th) even if it is zero

Oh, and if you are so inclined, maybe also a bit about how your training week went.

My training is going OK. This week turned out to be a cutback week and will set up nicely before I start tapering for a Marathon in January. Feeling pretty fresh after a few days of light running and more time in the pool.

I have noticed that more pool time = "Way more Calories Burned" and staying fueled has been more of a challenge than when I was just running focused.

Here are my totals for the week:

Week 2: 8,500 Yards
Month: 13,500 Yards or 37.5% Complete

Still feeling like I am on track to achieve my 36,000 Yard Goal for the month.

I had a good tri training week with a good run (hill) and bike session and I am up to 3500 m in the pool this week . total 3500 for the month. On target with 35% .
I have two more weeks to reach the goal at two sessions per week. Since I know i wont get to the pool after the 22nd.
I swim in an outdoor Municipal 50m pool and am very fortunate they keep the water temperature just right . Even on cold mornings its easy to get going in the pool.
I also want to get in a sea swim in my wetsuit before the month is out .
Hope all other Pacifice ROFers are doing well.

Definitely a good week.

FWIW: It seems like the longer yo wait to do your OWS, the warmer it will be. (El Nino is kicking in and the water temps are moving upward ever so slightly)

Well, I didn't plan any swims for the first "week" of the challenge, but Week 2 I did intend to get in the pool 2 times.  Nada.  My hold-up is the pool hours that changed and that my weekend was way too busy with mandatory things.  I just can't seem to make it to the pool between 8 and 10pm.  But, I'll do it this week!  I'm confident that I'll meet my goal for the whole month, I'm just going to have to be super scheduled to get it in.  I guess I'll improve in 2 areas this month: swimming, & time management.

Yeah, life is definitely in session. (Sometimes it is really tough to get everything to fall into place)

Good luck with your time management

I'm checking-in early for week 3 since I'll be out of town from today until Monday.  my total for week 3 is 0 - but don't panic!  I'll meet my goal.   When I get back in town I'm going to join another pool where I can swim whenever I want/can.    Good luck for the end of the week!

Checking early too for week 3 as I am done swimming this week. I have reached 72% of my monthly swim goal 3700m for the week Total : 7200m for the month.
I swim two mornings a week . Its motivating to have an attainable goal . My biggest challenge is getting my other Triathlon training done in the remaining 3 early mornings i have available for training .
I keep working on my other limiter: Running. And do a little gym bike inbetween my real bike sessions. Looking forward to the holidays as I will get a chance to get some long rides in.
Hope everyone else is having a good week.

Cheers.

Yeah, your really cranking the swim yardage.

It is definitely a challenge to schedule in all of the workouts. (Constant Juggling Act to be sure)

Good luck with your running.

I picked up Marathoning last year because my run really sucked; At least now it sucks a little bit less

Have a great weekend

Yeah, I feel really lucky because my Gym is always open and the pool is almost always empty. (At least during the normal times that I train)

I can tie up a lane for hours and no one will bother me.

Enjoy your weekend

Sounds to me like your running is a Rockin ! waterdogg .

I am also blessed with great facilities and climate. Can't complain.

This 2000m sessions are good confidence builders for Olympic and HIM distance.

Most exciting thing I noticed this fall is I am reducing my rest on the intervals.
So I can cover the distance in less pool time.

But I need to catch more ZZZZs to recharge the system.

Cheers
