Hey Team PoF, how did the Third week go for you

For the good of the group, please post your swim totals for the week (11th-17th) even if it is zero

Oh, and if you are so inclined, maybe also a bit about how your training week went.

Van_Paulus and MandiGayle checked in early on the Week2 thread as they had a busy holiday weekend.

Had another good training week. After my Long Run today, I will top out at 80 Running Miles for the week.

I logged 8,500 yards this week for the challenge. I mixed it up a bit an started doing some drills late in the week. Still base building so I want to try and keep the intensity low and the volume high. Should be about the same for next week.

Week 3 Total: 8,500
Challenge Total: 22,000

Have a happy Holiday everyone

Hey Pacific Ringers
Checking in with 3700 metres for week 3 and a total of 7200 metres for the month. Or 72% of my 10k Goal . I still need to get to the ocean for my open water swim.
Doing all intervals (200-100-50) with short rest and splitting my swimming in two strokes.
Cheers

Things around here have been kind of crazy this week because of the wind storm. My power went out early Friday morning and didn't come back on until late Saturday night. The power at the pool is still out but hopefully it will be coming back on soon. I was able to get in one long swim this week of 2200 yards bringing my monthly total up to 6400 yards.

Not to worry Harmony, your right on track for the challenge

Hope the weather improves for you. (That storm was a real bad one up where you are but sort of phizzled here)

Yeah, I almost planned on doing my OWS this weekend, but the weather did not quite cooperate. Will now have to let the water quality improve a bit before attempting it.

Good luck with your swim

Your really cranking out the yardage.

You have the highest challenge completion (76.2%) on the team.

Nicely done

You can all breath a sigh of relief!  I'm not going to bomb this challenge.   I finally found a pool and got in and splashed around for 30 minutes and 1100 yards.  That was my first swim in 3 months.  yay!  I'm a 1/3 of the way to my goal.  So far my ankle injury feels okay - just a tiny bit sore.

Message to the Team:

One of our members, GaiaServer had to drop out of the challenge.

I guess the pool he was planning on using to swim has a technical problem and will be closed for the remainder of the year.

DRM and the rest of the team captains has agreed that we just remove him from the challenge with no negative impact. (IE, we can still score a 100%) I think one or two of the other teams have members dropping also for various reasons.

Maybe next Challenge GaiaServer

Hey WaterDog
Can we help the team by doing more distance?
I am already at 87% for the challenge and with another hour session planned for tomorrow should be over my Goal for the month. Tis the season of giving and I am in a generous state of mind ...

I think the way the challenge is scored, hitting 100% early does give the team a big boost.

Going over still gets counted as 100% though. (I will surely go over by quite a bit also)
