My mother sends me lots of forwarded e-mails which are usually of the "forward this to your 10 best girlfriends" variety, but this was a good one.

Peyton Manning in Heaven

Peyton Manning, after living a full life, died. When he got to heaven,
God was showing him around. They came to a modest little house with a
faded Colts flag in the window. "This house is yours for eternity,
Peyton," said God. "This is very special; not everyone gets a house up
here." Peyton felt special, indeed, and walked up to his house.

On his way up the porch, he noticed another house just around the
corner. It was a 3-story mansion with a Silver and blue sidewalk, a
50-foot tall flagpole with an enormous Patriots logo flag, and in every
window, a New England Patriots towel. Peyton looked at God and said
"God, I'm not trying to be ungrateful, but I have a question. I was an
all-pro QB, I hold many NFL records, and I even went to the Hall of
;Fame."

God said "So what's your point
Peyton?" "Well, why does Tom Brady get a better house than me?" God
chuckled, and said: "Peyton, that's not Tom's house, it's mine."

GO PATRIOTS!!!

That's an old one that's being recycled at playoff times. I've gotten from three sources over the last two days, but of course it featured Drew Brees/the Saints instead of Brady/Patriots.

Makes more sense that God would be a Saints fan. Though I often think he uses it as a test for us.

I had never seen this one before.  I guess God might have to be a Saints fan, but the Patriots could make anyone switch teams.

Anyone, not everyone. Don't see God as a bandwagon jumper. But then, maybe if he lived in South Florida in 2006...

Hey now - I'm from Massachusetts and have loved the Patriots since they played the Bears in the Super Bowl when I was around 9 or 10 - so somewhere in the early 80's!  I'm only in Florida by default - my husband grew up here - we're doing our best to get back to the land of real fans.
