Subject: RE: Keeping track of run laps during IMI once ran in a 5K that had a loop at the start and finish that I did three times instead of twice (don't ask how, it was just stupid ), and ran a 3.9 mile 5K. So I when I did IMAZ last year I was worried about the exact same thing. I actually got a little hazy during the last bike loop, second guessing myself. Maybe I have a touch of OCD... the clock said no way was I on the second loop.
Anyway, there was nobody at IMAZ with wristbands or rubber bands. I'm sure you could put two bands around a wrist in T2 (or one each wrist ), then chuck one the first loop, chuck another the second loop, then head in into the finish when you don't have any bands left. Or wear your Garmin...
BTW, I also wrote down my nutrition plan for the bike on my left arm with a Sharpie, and my run nutrition plan on my right arm. Just in case I got loopy... |
