I am still undecided on Sprint or Try it depends on the next 6 weeks of training go my winter training was weaker than I originally planned.

Thanks i am feeling more and more like the sprint is the way to go have done enough Try's need to step it up. We need to figure out how to hook up there.

Was thinking about doing it, I'm still 50/50. Would be racing the sprint distance though. I was also considering Guelph Lake in June...it's a big race.

I am 6' with short brown hair/glasses, red Steve Bauer rig with clip on aero bars & a Nineteen wetsuit. When I get my #'s marked on the leg I get them to put BT above it so we can be recognised by other BTer's

Hey Booper, I checked out your logs and you are definately ready to go you have put in the hours to develop a good base and should have no problem with a Try a Tri (even a sprint would be doable at your level of training). To bad about the ankle hope it comes back quickly. When you looked at my logs did you go back to last summer thats a better relection of my training level. It was a bad winter for training to many other things going wrong didn't have time to train. April/May are getting better and last week is a better reflection of my training routine, I am doing some sprints, a try-a tri and my A race is an OLY at Wasaga to end the season. Hope to meet you in Milton

Yeah injuries are a bummer, I had alot of pain in my knee thankfully at the end of last year. I changed my style/stride to get faster and ended up straining somehting took me months to get back to running. And now am contending with a recovering tendonitis/strain in my elbow from pushing to much in the swim training in Jan. Its all about persevering taking the time to recover and go at it again with better understanding (hopefully). I'll throw a prayer in for your leg to heal fast ... see you in Milton.

I am signed up for the Sprint.
It will be my 1st ever Tri.
Like a lot of other people, I have my share of injuries (Partially torn Tibiofibular ligament) so hopefully I can finish the run.

Thanks for the report.  I will be the Try a Try so Sixth Line will not be an issue for me.  I am going to try to head out on Saturday for my first OWS in a wetsuit.

Good Luck All!

I'm volunteering, hopefully a kayaker . If we want to meet up we can pick a spot, I will be gone about 12:45 though.

Good luck to all the BTer's doing Milton. I was planning on doing it but have decided on another event next week. Sorry to say the weather is to be cooler and wet for Sunday....
careful on the bike route! Milton organizers are saying the water is expected to climb the last few days due to the humid weather we've had. I agree with trying out the wetsuit a few times before the race. I've been in mine 4 times now and although it feels quite comfortable, it does take getting used to. I highly recommend a wet suit for Sunday due to weather.
Again, good luck to all!!!!

Unsure if the Milton race is a good idea, or if doing a 75km on the DVP is a better idea. Either way, both of them, it's gonna be wet!

However, I'd take rain over humidity/heat anyday!

Oh my goodness.........I had no idea I'd be this nervous. My gut is in a knot!
It's my first race ever and I'm just doing the try a tri. Have trained fairly well, but not much this week d/t work and weather. Have never done a transition ( unless practicing in my backyard counts).Swam at Kelso once this week in my wetsuit for the first time, I really did like the suit. Any words of wisdom to help ease these jitters? I am also nervous because I am by myself as my tri teamates are all doing a sprint so I won't even see anyone I know....
