Good luck, man!

I was going to volunteer but have an exam on Tuesday and a wedding on Sunday afternoon.

Rock it out, everyone who will be there!

First place! Very nice, I think I secured the 63rd spot overall. I had to stop to tie my shoelace!

Pretty solid result! I think we hear a candidate for lock laces!!!

Way to go ancientdude!! 1st place after 3 months is awesome! I heard there were some issues with the lap counting?

I had a problem with the lap counter. On my last lap I couldn't figure out why the last lap sign didn't come in to the water. I looked up at the counter and she said "3 more laps to go" AARRGGH!!! Knew I was done but what can you do. Frustrating but still thankful to have all the volunteers. Anyone else at Delta tri this weekend have the same issue??

I think you should ask for lane 1 next year, they were pretty loose< i think I did maybe 1/2 the laps before they told me to get out, seemed a bit off, I heard a lot of complaints about the pool. I liked it hough, how was your overall impression / time? of the day?

Really enjoyed the course. Finished in 1:32. I think it is fair to say closer to 1:30 due to the extra laps in pool (3) Still 2 minutes faster than last year. Was hoping for better time but still proud to have finished. Love the Krispy Kreme at the end though. Will be back next year for those donuts!!!

Yes, 3 months of training. I was a top canadian swimmer in my age group (back in 99 and 01) and stopped aerobic exercise for 6 years until January. With a few months of intensive training I managed to get my swimming to where it was at age 12-13 and the biking has been coming along. Running is a whole different story.

Ill see you at cultus tomorrow, going to watch a friend and support the whole tri community!

I'm thinking of doing this one in 2008 for my first tri of the season. Hope they fix those lap counting issues!

A little early for me, a little longer than I want to do for the first of the season (the UBC sprint is not your typical sprint), and the highways might not be ideal for traveling at that point in the spring (not from Vancouver).

I plan to do four races next year, having completed my very! first! tri! ever! just a couple weekends ago. I finished horribly (but I finished!), so I have to get my butt in gear for next season.
