Subject: RE: Olympic Tri in May - How do I keep training afterward?well, i would recommend to keep your oly volume throughout SO how about after your first race: Month 3, Week 4 (recovery) Month 4, Week 1 (maintain) Month 4 Week 2 (maintain) Month 4 Week 4 (taper/race) ..then cycle back through...i would not try to build any more volume if u will be just at the oly volume in may...maintain it this season if your first olys - will be a great base for 2005...then next fall/spring can concentrate on builing up to 1/2im if that is your goal. as u prolly know, i am a lot more conservative...some would probably have no problems building again after their first oly...just listen to your body... just my thoughts...if your feeling 'weak' after your 1st and 2nd race during training, then u may be able to adjust it down more so more rest and cycle back up if your races happen to alternate b/w sprint and oly... |
