Well, I finally took my bike out for a ride. It was awesome, so much different than riding a mountain bike. However I was warned by a co-worker that nearly everyone bails on their first ride with clipless pedals.

The first ride was short just a 5km ride and I made it home without crashing it felt like a super star!

Which takes us to yesterday - ride number two. Well, ride number two didn't go quite as well. About 8km in I ended up like a turtle at a fairly busy intersection. Thankfully the only injury was to my pride.

Oh well, here is hoping ride number three goes a little better!

Yup, MTB with platform pedals.. After 30yrs of riding with "normal" pedals it's going take a little while to get used to clipless.. lol

On a positive note, the third ride was turtle free!!

Heck no!! The two thoughts went through my mind. Thank god for grass. The next was DON'T SCRATCH THE BIKE!! I thankfully I am a fairly soft guy, so when the bike landed on my there were no scratches or damage.

(I wasn't kidding about the turtle - I didn't even let go of the bars...haha)
