Frugal Gear Geek  2199    having fun with the kids |  Subject: WANTED: injured riddersI just found out about the TdF bike challenge and want to be a part of it. Problem is I am out of action due to injury. I have permission to start a team of "gimps" to participate under the team name Agritubel. Agritubel My goal personaly is to just get on the bike, period. So first come, first served. Please respond to this challenge request in the same thread posted in the Challenge Me thread if you are interested. I hope to use the bike as a light spin just to loosen up the knee when I am off the crutches. Kat wanted to keep things open, so I am sure swimming or other event of your choosing could be accomidated. Her big thing was the number of "stages" a team was going to compete in, so it is kind of up to you. I just wanted to find a way to be accountable to myself and get going again. |

Unpretentious and makes few claims to strength in depth. Fun to have around, even if likely to be left behind when the real action starts. I've got a stress fracture in my leg, so I'm not running (should bode well for my marathon in October). Doc gave me the OK to ride, though, as long as I stay in the saddle and things don't deteriorate. |
