I'm a 45 YO wife and mother (and retired AF officer ) and some friends an I have decided to train for our first MINI tri (300 M swim in a pool, 14 mi bike, 5K run ) in March. Our goals are to just finish.
I have a running background so I've been concentrating on the swimming. The surprise is how much I've been enjoying it. I've known how to swim since I was 6 or 7, but I've never tried to swim laps in my life. There is something very Zen-like about reminding myself to slow down and stay aerobic in the swims. Who knew? |
