Swim
Comments: Near the start I felt my ankle strap come off, and I turned around and rooted around in the water for it for about a minute (see below - something is wrong with this picture) and found it. So relieved! I kept it in my fist the rest of the way, so my pull on that side was pretty gimpy. Because of the chip snafu my 11:59 time on the books was swim + T1, so the time was an estimate. Got it on my watch though so will have to find the actual splits. What would you do differently?: Safety pin the strap together Transition 1
Comments: Time wasn't recorded. Bike
What would you do differently?: There were 2 turns that I lost some control in and weaved too far to the left, fortunately no one was passing me at the time. Definitely need to work on that. Transition 2
Run
Comments: Felt strong, just focused on passing people, had a lot of kick at the end. Post race
Warm down: Walked, stretched, hung out at the TriCyclones tent, got a flat. Event comments: Second tri of the season after IronBabe (and my second ever). Both the bike and run were PRs. Can't wait for the next race. Last updated: 2007-08-03 12:00 AM
