Subject: Privacy settings

I helped setup my son on BT yesterday.  In the privacy setting page we first clicked the 1st two options, afterwords we set me up on his friends list and came back and clicked the last 'allow friends list' option which states "Overrides the above option".  It didn't override it, I had to go back and unselected the 1st option in order for me to view his page.  I just wanted to pass this along in case it's not a known issue.

Privacy Settings

Training log is private?
Nutrition log is private?
Allow guests of the site to view any logs you have made public?
Only allow your "friends list" to view logs you have made public? (Overrides the above option)

This is actually working correctly.

The Override statement only applies to the setting immediately above it: Allow guests of the site to view any logs you have made public?.  Also, the "allow friends" setting does state that it applies only to logs that have been made public.  By checking "Training log is private?" your son's training log was made ineligible to be governed by the settings below it.

This allows for one's training log and nutrition log to have different levels of privacy.

The design philosophy followed is that when different security settings can be in conflict, use the most restrictive selected setting. This is a fairly standard practice in software design.
