I always like getting to know everyone, so post a line or two about yourself - your name, your goals, your swim background, anything really. My name is Gill and my goal for December is to swim for 5 hours. That means turning up to 5 tri-club swimming training sessions and working my butt off . I don't have a great swim background. I needed a lot of lessons before my first tri and I always assumed swimming would be my worst discipline (but it turns out running is ). I took 18 months out (my avatar will tell you why) and I'm now working my way back to fitness. I've signed up for a sprint tri next June where the swim leg is 750m in the River Thames, so to say I'm slightly worried about that would be an understatement! And if you haven't already noticed, I live in England, so while I will post as much as possible, I am 5-8 hours ahead of most of you! (Oh, and DD takes up a lot of time too...) |
