Pro 6582 Melbourne FL | Subject: Dec07 Splash Swim Challenge: CAPTAINS ONLY please Hello Captain Elves! Below are the team spreadsheets for you to use. I have hyperlinks for each teammate under their name. It should take you directly to the teammates Dec monthly actual log where you can just input the numbers for the week. I say should as I was having some log request errors that marmadaddy is looking at. You can also just have your teammates post on the thread what they did or use Google as Dee did on the last challenge. All distances are in yards in the spreadsheets, km goals have been converted. I did this because most people have their logs setup in yards/miles and if you look at someones logs that's how it will be viewed. If you use metrics then you will need to multiply by the meters by 1.0936 to get the yard equivalent. If a teammate has a time goal, on the far right of the spreadsheet I included a hr:mm:ss converter for decimal hours or minutes. Please post the weekly results on this Thread by Monday PM or Tue AM at the latest so we can have the compiled results posted by Tues afternoon. Let me know if you have any questions, happy swimming... Donto

One team member (isis) has chosen a non yardage/non time goal. She just wans 4 swims of about 40 min each as the goal. Should I just go for 160 minutes as the final goal for her? Judi |

Champion 23360 Taser-World | Subject: RE: Dec07 Splash Swim Challenge: CAPTAINS ONLY please Hi Donto and Cat, Questions follow: 1) If a team member wants to raise his/her goal --> Do we need to tell you, or should we just raise it on our team spreadsheet? 2) The rules state: "In the final week of the challenge team members may exceed 100% (up to 120% max)" What happens if someone's pool will be closed the final week of the challenge? Can they can only obtain a max of 100%, even if they exceed their goal? (Because they had to stop swimming after 3 weeks.) 3) If someone is sick/injured and needs to revise a goal - do they need to contact one of you to discuss it? Thanks! |

I can update the numbers just fine but can't seem to attach the data to a post Right above the "submit" button are 4 options: Include signature Disable HTML Enable emoticons Attach a file after posting Click the box for "Attach a file after posting." It'll take you to a new screen, where you can BROWSE for the file. Select the spreadsheet, then submit it. If the file is attached, it'll be listed on the right side. Then you can click the link to return to the thread. |

(Quoting them here, so they don't get lost in the thread.) Here's the Avenging Angels spreadsheet. Hi Dee - anything relating to figures i will let Donto take care of since he is the one with the master spreadsheet... I 'think' if you up the goal in your spreadsheet that should be sufficient! Donto has made adjustments to the sreadsheet for a few people dealing with pool issues so Im sure he can confirm what is possible... Finally... in terms of sick/injury - these are normally dealt with on a case by case basis but as always a team member can withdraw due to injury without penalising their team in anyway AND have the option of staying as a team cheerleader! Im sure Donto will get to this more thoroughly after the weekend! Cat |

Dee and All, 1) Goal changes - Please make the change on your spreadsheet copy but please let me know in your post that a change has been made so that it is reflected on the master that is compiled. See #3 below. 2) Pool closures - I think this is going to cause a nightmare, so let's forget about and this rule. 120% is still the max and if someone wants to increase their goal they can. BTW, coupled with the above 120% is the opposite. A teammate must complete 70% of their goal to get any credit, so if they are at 69% they are logged as 0 for the team goal, so stay on top of your teammate that may be falling behind a bit. 3) Injuries, colds (Flu), etc - Post it here for a consensus before making a goal change. However, no goal changes occur during the last week. Let me know if you have any other questions or comments... |

Hey Beth, not that I'm looking or comparing or anything near that nature LOL, but I noticed that on your spreadsheet the percentages are not calculating. Everything seemed to be entered correctly but it didn't calculate the percentages. Donto may need to help you on this one. |

See #3 below. Kendra (kns57) changed her goal to 8000. (It was originally 9000. She was away on vacation for a week.) So I changed it on the spreadsheet. She isn't sure whether her pool is meters or yards. She'll check on this and let me know. |
