Master 1675 Kitchener | Subject: RE: Saxobank I'm starting to get a bit nervous. Was doing well, but am having difficulty this week. Rain and thunder almost daily and my r hip has been acting up since my race on Sunday. I think my hips are just out of alignment (hoping) and seeing the osteopath today. Am starting to question whether I want to do any more racing this year. May have to put some wheels on my trainer bike and do some indoor cycling. Do I have till Tuesday to reach my goal? |

Expert 957 Reykjavik, Iceland | Subject: RE: Saxobank Jens - 2009-07-22 10:24 AM I have been a VERY unsociable Team 'Mate' this year. Sorry. Work has been busting my rear quarters. Good news is I have been riding. So far I've done 23 prologues for a total of 126.5 miles. So number of rides is good but I've got to do at least one longer one to reach the 210 Miles I promised. I WILL get that done....... somehow. I'll try to catch up on the thread to see how everyone have been doing. And let's all send well wishes to Jens Voigt. He was very lucky to not hurt himself worse in that crash. IT´S ALIVE.......... Its like you have been in a breakaway for 2 weeks

Hip was 'just' slightly rotated so with a little care things should be fine and I'll be able to get the cycling in. Especially if I keep it on the easy side. Plan to get out this morning before the rains come again. |

Master 1675 Kitchener | Subject: RE: Saxobank I made it out this afternoon and got 2 stages done. Only 1 left and 37 minutes. Got caught in the rain for the first time this year. Wasn't a downpour and was kind of fun, although my bike is totally filthy now. I tried to take it really easy so I wouldn't undo whatever the osteopath did yesterday. Hopefully I didn't screw things up. |

I finished all my stages yesterday as I went for a short extra ride. And now I will add one more stage because I am off to do my last long bike ride before the HIM and the plan is to do 100K. I am scared as hell and I hope I can do it!!

Expert 1024 | Subject: RE: Saxobank Thanks to all Saxobank members for a great challenge. I rode for over 300 miles, over 500 km, and over 1000 minutes. This is a new record for me for how much I can ride a trainer in 3 weeks ( not all rides were trainer rides, but most were). All this time in the saddle must have done my legs some good. Great job to everyone. |

Many thanks to all of you for a great team though - and much appreciation to Cat for organizing this whole thing. I think I watched more TdF in the past few weeks than I've ever watched cycling before in my life. Challenges are all about motivating us to train. If you trained one time more than you would have otherwise, then your challenge was a success. Goals are just there to motivate us. Sometime life gets in the way and we ride less than planned. In my case life got in the way and took away running, so I rode more than planned. Again, it's all about motivating us to go train. So great job to everyone who rode at all during the last 3 weeks. And to Cat, thanks again for organizing this challenge. It's the only challenge I do each year. Even though your life got in the way of riding as much as hoped, you helped a lot of other people by putting this together. I rode a lot of days that I would not have otherwise. So from me personally, Thank you. |

This will be the first time I havent hit 100% for a cycling challenge..... but Ive done what I can when I could... Thanks everyone for playing along - please make sure the spreadsheet is up to date so I can get some results posted in the next day or so. Cat
