Ok, I'll join in. I can't edit the spreadhseet, even after hitting the

"edit this page" button at the bottom. Tech savvy I am NOT.

So, goals 50 miles bike, 12 miles run, 4400 yards swim. For now. It would be fun to be on Heather's (geauxtri's) team again, since we work out together on occasion...and Sal was my mentor recently...but I'll go wherever.

Nope, you're within the "time limits." Just update the spreadsheet with your changes.

June Challenge Team Standings - Week #1

Can you believe that June is already 23% finished? Here's how the teams stack up after the first week:

FIRST PLACE - Avatar Avengers 21.1%
SECOND PLACE - Kamikaze Geckos 18.6%
THIRD PLACE - Cheesecake Lovers 16.6%
FOURTH PLACE - Totally Nutty Triathletes (TNT) 14.6%

Congratulations to the Avatar Avengers!

BUT this is only the FIRST week of the month! So remember - if you don't MOVE IT this month, your team is likely to LOSE IT!

Need a reminder of what happens at the end of June?

The winning team(s) will display a signature line: "My team won the June Challenge!"

All other (losing) teams will display an avatar of something that SHOULD have made them move more!
This could be your shoes (ie: you should have run more), or your bike (ie: you should have biked more), or your bathing suit (ie: you should have swam more), or.... etc.

Avatars and signature lines will be displayed for the month of July. After that, it's your choice whether to leave it, or remove it.

Dee, I think it is possible that 10M is not calculating automatically on our spreadsheet. Maybe it is something I am doing wrong, though. Please advise.

Captain Avenger

Looks like someone put a number in the "cell". There's no need for this, as there's a formula there which automatically calculates the averages.

Anyway, I redid the formulas. If you see any other problems, just let me know.

June Challenge Team Standings - Week #2

Can you believe that June is already 50% finished? Here's how the teams stack up after the second week:

FIRST PLACE - Kamikaze Geckos - 41.6%
SECOND PLACE - Avatar Avengers - 36.7%
THIRD PLACE - Cheesecake Lovers - 36.6%
FOURTH PLACE - Totally Nutty Triathletes (TNT) - 24.4%

Congratulations to the KAMIKAZE GECKOS!

BUT June is only halfway finished - we still have 15 more days to go! So remember - if you don't MOVE IT this month, your team is likely to LOSE IT!

Today is June 19th, and the month is now 64% finished. Are YOU achieving your goals???? Well, here's a little EXTRA INCENTIVE FOR YOU.....

You may now achieve 110% of your individual goals!

For example:
Your swim goal may now reach 110%
Your run goal may now reach 110%
Your bike goal may now reach 110%
Your "other" goal may now reach 110%

What does this mean?
- If you want to give yourself an extra push and challenge yourself this month --> GO FOR IT!
- If you have a teammate who is lagging --> Here's your chance to HELP YOUR TEAM!

Each individual goal will be capped at 110%. (In other words, you can't do 125% of a goal.) This means that you could, conceivably, reach a "super achiever" 110% total.

So what are you waiting for? Get out there and do some training!

June Challenge Team Standings - Week #3

June is now 73% completed, and we're almost at the END OF THE CHALLENGE! Here's how the teams stand, with just over a week to go:

FIRST PLACE - Kamikaze Geckos - 65.9%
SECOND PLACE - Totally Nutty Triathletes (TNT) - 61.3%
THIRD PLACE - Avatar Avengers - 58.6%
FOURTH PLACE - Cheesecake Lovers - 56.5%

Congratulations to the KAMIKAZE GECKOS!

BUT June isn't over yet! We still have 8 more days to go! So remember - if you don't MOVE IT this month, your team is likely to LOSE IT!

And remember - You may now achieve 110% of your individual goals! This means you can challenge yourself even more, or help out teammates who may be struggling to meet their goals.

For example:
Your swim goal may now reach 110%
Your run goal may now reach 110%

FIRST PLACE - Totally Nutty Triathletes (TNT) - 92.7%

SECOND PLACE - Kamikaze Geckos - 89.5%
THIRD PLACE - Cheesecake Lovers - 83.0%
FOURTH PLACE - Avatar Avengers - 79.5%

With only TWO DAYS TO GO, we have a NEW CHALLENGE LEADER! Congratulations to the Totally Nutty Triathletes (TNT)!

June isn't over yet, but there are ONLY TWO MORE DAYS! So remember - if you don't MOVE IT this month, your team is likely to LOSE IT!

PLEASE UPDATE THE SPREADSHEET WITH YOUR FINAL TOTALS BY MIDNIGHT (LOCAL TIME), TUESDAY JULY 1st. Team captains: Please assist your team members with this, if needed.

Special Note: If you dealing with "acts of nature," such as smoke from wildfires, and this is preventing you from training, please let me know. Depending upon your situation, you may request to revise your goals.

It's June 30th, and the June Challenge is ending! (Are you happy? Or sad?)

PLEASE UPDATE THE SPREADSHEET WITH YOUR FINAL TOTALS BY MIDNIGHT (LOCAL TIME), ON TUESDAY JULY 1st.

(This way, everyone has a full day after the end of the challenge to log their training, and update their totals.)

I'll pull the spreadsheets on Wednesday, and calculate the final standings.

June Challenge FINAL RESULTS

Wow, this was a close challenge! EVERY team was over 90%! GREAT JOB, EVERYONE!

And now the moment you've all been waiting for..........

FIRST PLACE - Totally Nutty Triathletes (TNT) - 102.4%
SECOND PLACE - Kamikaze Geckos - 98.8%
THIRD PLACE - Cheesecake Lovers - 93.6%
FOURTH PLACE - Avatar Avengers - 90.4%

Congratulations to the Totally Nutty Triathletes (TNT)!
For the month of July, Team TNT will display a signature line: "My team won the June Challenge!"

And now for the other teams.... Since the team percentages were so high, I decided to look more closely at the spreadsheets.

Kamikaze Geckos - if your lowest member's percentage is dropped, the team's average is 101%. Therefore, your team may NOT display the winning signature line, but there will be no "penalty avatar."

Cheesecake Lovers - if your lowest member's percentage is dropped, the team's average is 97%. Therefore, your team may NOT display the winning signature line, but there will be no "penalty avatar."

Avatar Avengers - if your lowest member's percentage is dropped, the team's average is 93%. Therefore, your team may NOT display the winning signature line, but there will be no "penalty avatar."

Congratulations everyone! This is the first time since I started doing the challenges that EVERY TEAM has been over 90%! Great job!

Have a great July! And if you want more challenges in July - check out the TdF Biking Challenge, and the Casual Run Challenge. Both threads are stickied to the top of the forum.
