I hope everyone is off to a great start to the long weekend! I'm at the airport, Wisconsin-bound to volunteer at IM and then sign up for '09! I'll be there 9 days, I hope it doesn't interfere with post padding opps

Is it normal for a first time challenger to be getting nervous about the goals laid out for the challenge?

SO again I ask is this normal?  I do not want to let the rest of the team down by my over enthusiasm as I set my goals.  Which are based on the written training plan.

A good challenge should never be too easy so it's normal. However, if you don't meet your goal, we won't like you anymore (j/k, of course)...

I'm so commited to padding that I'm violating FAA rules and quickly posting from my bberry as we taxi out to the runway. I wonder how many I can crank out before the flight attendant catches me? My sling is great for hiding my blackberry

Since I have never met any BTers, you can all dislike me, and I may just never do my first tri due to the embarrassment and fear of meeting a BTer at an event.    Cry

I am really glad for the challenge and the extra incentive to hit all my workouts.  As I have said before, Exercise is no longer an option.  Blood work again on Friday, so we'll see if things are starting to come into line.

Wow! The post-padding novices have turned into experts overnight. Well done, grasshoppers!

Sorry I've missed all the fun - I've been hanging with the in-laws and getting in one last weekend of training before my first Oly next weekend. Yikes!

And since we're talking about drinks...last night I had a margarita that was as big as my head.

And after my ride today, I'm looking forward to a nice cold beer (or three) while I watch college football. (By the way, my team is ROCKING right now - of course, we're playing a high school team, or something like that. No offense to any U of Maine grads out there.)

Just figured out I miss added on my running, so instead of 40 I should be doing 33.  I will just need to get in 2 extra workouts.  Unless the challenge goddess will make the change since it is not Sept. yet.

I am not looking to "back out" of my first goals in my first challenge.  Just realized I can't add and divide when I am tired.  There is a big difference between 15.2 minute miles and 12.5 minute miles.
