They cancelled my plyometrics class. For good. They said there was not enough intrest in it to justify paying an instructor. Crud. I'll have to figure out something else to do... That's a bummer. Sorry! |

After 4 pm, I turn into a pumpkin! |

| Member 90 | Subject: RE: Dodgersmom and Doughboy's Group -Full I am most definitely not a morning person myself. Last couple of weeks because of the snow, I tried to do a morning workout and my day went a lot better overall. But still have a very difficult time getting up in the morning. Today I had full intentions of going to the gym in the morning. Well - that didn't happen. Got stuck at work till late so ended up being too late to get a full workout in. Got a quick swim in, and that's about it. I think that crud caught on to me too. Have good intentions of going for a 30 min. run (treadmill) in the morning then have an evening session with my trainer. Tomorrow's session includes a re-assessment so we'll find out how much have I really been slacking. LOL... |

I prefer to be up and out the door earl yint he a.m. rather than trying to fit in a workout later in the day. Sorrya bout the plyometrics class, David. That stinks! Happy Tuesday, everyone. Got my 45 minute ride in this morning. Hope everyone has a great day. | |

But it never seems to happen. I might be getting wioth some other local athletes upcomming. maybe that will inspire me. until then its afternoon and lunch work-outs for me. I managed to get a solid swim session in last night and today is my first offical training day according to the plan I loaded. I got a 45 min bike and 20 min run to do today. judging by the crappy weather I will probably be biking on a Stationary bike but it will have to do. Whats the water challenge? |

| Pro 4174 Keller, Texas | Subject: RE: Dodgersmom and Doughboy's Group -Full THe water challenge is to drink at a minimum 48 oz of water during the workday! Wanna play! Hapy Tuesday everyone. As I expected, the arms are a little sore today from yesterdays workout. Not as bad as I thought though! Packing up my desk today to move to the other side of the building. Really mixed feelings about it. I like the people I sit with, and have been with some of them for several years. But, my team is spread out all over the building and this is a chance to get us all together. I guess from a business perspective that is the right thing to do so today I throw away 3 years worth of stuff I don't need. Interval trainer ride tonight! Have a happy day all!

Raining this morning and I was lazy, so hoping to grab a 3 mile run after I get my hair done at lunch time...maybe a little time on the trainer during the hockey game tonight. |

I've been putting in some trainer time but haven't been out on the road since October. I have a group ride this weekend, so I hope it goes well! I need to join the water challenge, but when I'm sick drinking water is the last thing I want to do. So, I'll try to join in for 48oz today. |

| Master 2014 Ohio | Subject: RE: Dodgersmom and Doughboy's Group -Full After a few weeks of getting up early I start to become a morning person. I like to workout out midmorning myself. The evening has never worked for me. I don't feel like I get a good cardio workout in the evenings. Nice job on the trainer this morning Erin. And dodgersmom, enjoy your time on the trainer. What does everyone do while they ride the trainer? watch TV? movies? spinnerval DVD's? Listen to the radio? Stare off into space? I did a good job with my nutrition yesterday, 2372 calories. This morning I decided I'd try to see what my 2 months of drills has done for me in the pool. I did 4 500's. Times were about 8:17, 8:15, 8:17, and 8:32 for the last one. All of this averaged together comes out to just over 1:40 per 100 yards for the whole 2000 yards. Pretty good for me. My water is going well today but I'm about to switch to coffee for the caffiene kick so I can get my afternoon chores done. Have a great day everyone. |

May still ride the trainer tonight. On the treadmill, I listen to my iPod and watch the foodnetwork without sound. (Yeah, I'm weird.) On the trainer, I either spinerval or listen to my iPod and watch whatever hubby has on (like hockey or college football). |

| Member 150 NoVA | Subject: RE: Dodgersmom and Doughboy's Group -Full I'm still sick as a dog. Fever of 101.8 and just got a script to give me some relief so I can sleep. Tomorrow my throat culture comes back and if it IS strep (it tested negative in the dr office on Saturday) then I'll fill my anti-biotics script. I've lost about 2 pounds and I'm so scared it's muscle mass, but I guess there isnt much I can do. I'm just too weak to train. NYE was my last workout and it was a good full body weight session. I know I've read somewhere that it takes about 2 weeks to start losing muscle mass... I hope that's right. Anyone know? I'm just itching to get to the gym. As are my kids. They love it too. If you'd send some good thoughts or prayers my way I'd appreciate it! | |

Lots of sleep, lots of fluids. Oh, and lots of BT. Feel better. Edited by David tri's 2009-01-06 8:46 PM |

I got my 1 hour strength training done today (my trainer really beat me up today) and did a 20 min. ride on the bike simulator. I am exhausted.

Susan, I hope you feel better soon.  Lina, great job last night!  Kristen, how in the world did you get all that done in one day?   This morning started out with an early swim. I knocked out 1700, but it was tough today; just didn't feel that great in the water. Everyone have a great day. Edited by OldAg92 2009-01-07 6:55 AM |

| Pro 4174 Keller, Texas | Subject: RE: Dodgersmom and Doughboy's Group -Full Susan, Just concentrate of feeling better. The fitness will come back quickly but don't risk starting too soon, it's just not worth it! Great job this morning Brandt! Some days we have it, and feel like a milion bucks, and some days we don't. They most important thing is that you did not get out of the water. Way to stay with it!! Day 2 of the getting to work at 7 scenario. The thing that I don't like about it is that I have a routine that is now different, and I am not dealing with that well. Some of it is because Steve has been sick so he is not getting out of bed early. Normal routine is that I get up and shower and then wake him and he showers while I am getting ready. Then I take the dogs out and give them a special treat before I leave. I think when his crud is gone we will resume that schedule. Anyway, enough whining about me. Although it's only been one day, I do like the leaving at 4. Yesterday I was able to get home, get a workout in before a 6pm meeting and be home and done by 7. Today I actually get to leave at 2 since that is when they are coming to move my stuff. I do have a 3:30-4:30 call that I will just take from home. It HAS to be a run night for us so depending on the temps either outside or more likely at the track at the gym. I am not a fan of running in the dark. It's not a scared of the dark thing, it's that I have no sense of pace at night. Weird, but true. | |

| Extreme Veteran 578 Katy, Texas | Subject: RE: Dodgersmom and Doughboy's Group -Full Don't get discouraged Susan. Its still early yet you have time to recover. Well I got my bike/run in yesterday. It was a trainer on the bike anyway so it was cool that I was stuck at the gym. Today I have my first session with the local masters swim group. I'm looking forward to it. I also decieed to re-boot my quest for 100 push-ups. That would be a cool thing to accomplish. Later All. |

I have CrossFit this morning, then my big goal for today is to ignore the pain that comes with almost every movement and ride 11.4 on the trainer... it will be my longest ride on the trainer in close to a year probably. Sad, so sad. |

Have a great workout at crossfit and a great trainer ride, Haley. And as I've often been told, don't look back...only forward! Marcy, sorry Steve is still fighting the crud; Madison is as well, and it stinks. I hope you have a good day and that you enjoy leaving at 2 pm! |

Toda's plan - 10 min. swim and a 30 min. walk/jog after work. All depends on what mother nature has in store for us today. Right now it is freezing rain here, so accidents everywhere, highways closed off and very very slow traffic. I am hoping for clear sunshine 70 degrees weather later so I can have a smoothe drive to the gym tonight. Well! We can all at least dream.
