My plan calls for a two hour ride today.  BUT  I think I am going to do my long run today instead.  The weather will be nicer tomorrow and I am meeting up with some other BTers for a group ride.  Fun times.  So, I guess I'll be running for 1:10 and a 45 minute ride.  Good times!

Morning team.  What's everyone think of the new BT?

new site looks pretty sharp...!!!  not sure if there is a lot of new functionality - guess i need to play around with it a bit more...

did a 15.25 mile run this morning with a fellow BTer (jszat)...  i haven't run that far in a while...  and hilly... hilly... hilly... i didnt know we had that many hills here....  also, jszat is fast...  i'll have to check the pace but believe we were in the low 7:20s ...  i was just trying to hang on most of the run...  followed it up by a little over 11 miles on the bike to loosen up...  first bike outside this year.. finally...  i'm beat!!!

sounds like the team has some good training going on today!!!  hope everyone enjoys their saturday...

Finally looked at my training plan and realized that what I was missing was a bike not a run so did a 42 minute ride and now I am back on track to start next week (running a race on Sunday mucked up my schedule a little bit because this my total run for the week was supposed to be 42 min. and I ran 55 on Sunday...which meant I should have been done but felt like I needed to get at least one more run in.

Hearing about all of your distances makes me feel like a slacker...but then again I am only training for a sprint and not a HIM so I guess I will use that as my excuse...

Katie I could barely run when I first started. A mile seemed like a mountain. It takes time to develop a base. You are doing fine. Unlike Ben... I am VERY slow. Running sub 8 min miles only in my dreams!!!!

Did a 2 hour drainer ride this am( it was windy and drizzling) followed by a 5 mile run. Felt pretty good. By tommorow I will be over 100 miles on the bike

Just finished my run.  7 miles on a half mile track in case my hammy acted up.  It didn't and 14 laps was boring.  Between the wind and drizzle, it was challenging.  I got blown off the track once or twice!  My 45 min bike will be on the trainer!

ETA: Windy TOPpage!

nice job on the run... well speaking of dinner... the wife is out tonight... and of course i lost track of time... so i was heating up food for the kids... at 8pm nonetheless...  which is generally their bed time..  then forgot about the food on the stove... completely burnt it... ending up making waffles for them in the toaster...  quite the gourmet meal!!!

IT SUNDAY MORNING!

hello fellow X-MEN.

WOW.  we sure have our groove on this weekend, dont we?

Ben your dinner story just made me laugh...if i had a dollar for every time fed my family waffles cuz i burnt dinner.  LOL.  and you most certainly busted a move on that RUN.  i bow to the master!   i love the challenge/exertion of running with someone faster!

KATIE, you are most certainly NOT a slacker! my miles/times seem very comparable to yours.

ERICA, a bit windy, huh?  we drove to the candy store yesturday, and i felt like the car was gonna be blown off the highway.  QUADRUPLE POINTAGE FOR YOU for being out there RUNNING.  did you get your ride in??

MAV.  nice ride [albeit on the drainer] and sweet run.  as for your 100 mile milestone.  WOO HOOO FOR YOU.  that's super duper.

well X-MEN, HAPPY TO REPORT, my SKINNY DIPPIN' TRI TRAININ' DAYS HAVE FINALLY COME TO AN END.  i broke down and bought me a new suit.  funny thing is, its the SAME suit, only this time it has BRIGHT PINK stripes on it instead of white.

plan on keeping it close at hand.  im certain GRODY GIRL IS STILL ON THE LOOSE at the RESYMCA.  maybe theres some ANTI-VILLIAN GRODY GIRL REPELLANT SPRAY i can purchase.

keep your filthy mitts off my new suit!

speaking of the Y, hoping to head there later on to get 48 mins - im hoping to stretch it out a bit to run 5-5.5 miles.

what w my race the end of the month, and brick/taper weeks, im gonna come up a little short for mileage-wise for my 10K marathon relay leg.

i wants to be as prepared as possible.

FEELIN' GOOD RIGHT ABOUT NOW.

onward ALL.

My gosh!  Double the posts in a day?  Yikers!

Was planning on a 2-hour bike yesterday (superpower), but only did 1.7 hours.  I'm OK with that, though, because it was a great ride on a great course and sometimes you just need to enjoy the scenery instead of worry about the numbers.

I was planning on running 5 miles, but ended up pushing myself to 6.5 - my longest distance to date.  I was training with the tri club and that ended up being such a great workout, I felt like it was a race day all day afterwards.

hi X-MEN.

great ride and run LORA.  i hear you on sometimes you just have take in the scenery and congrats on your 6.5/longest run to date MILSTONE.  YAHOO FOR YOU!  when a workout is a good one why cut it short!

as for me.  i got my xtended 48 min run in.  i went 10 xtra minutes/1 xtra mile, which put me just a little over 5 miles.

i slowed it WAY down today.  ive been feeling some tingling in my foot not a good sign since i have a mortons neuroma, always best to keep a lid on it when it starts feeling that way.  no pain.  i soaked it in the hot tub afterwards and im icing right now as i type.  im sure w a day or two of RICE, the tingling is sure to go away.  confident of that.

theres no need to push things right now, that would be the worst thing to do, what w my mini just on the horizon, and the marathon relay leg, then my full Sprint come May.  its why ive been working so hard for so long....nothing to prove.

gotta work within my limits.  it SUCKS sometimes, but you gotta do what you gotta do in order to continue to do what you want to do.

im off to do some Spring cleaning, were having a house-full come Easter weekend.

ta-ta!

I got my 2 hour ride done.  It was so windy this morning that I didn't end up going to the group ride.  I put two hours in on the drainer instead.  Just shoot me next time please.  It would be less painful!  I can't handle too much more of this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
