dar89 - 2010-02-21 12:24 AM I took a look at the 2010 IMMoo participant list located here, and I ain't on it!  SurprisedYell

All the immediate peeps I know that are in it are on there.

Immediately sent email to the folks there asking what's up.  Any one else with the same issue?

I had problems during the registration process with Active.com, but my name is on the list and so is another friend of mine.  Good luck!

I didn't get an email from them, but was on the list when I looked a few weeks ago.  I sent them an email today and will call them tomorrow.  What a pain.

Just heard from them and they confirmed I am registered and are in the process of "Updating the Participants List" over the next couple of weeks.  I'll check back in a month and if I'm still not on it, I will hit them up again.

Got mine... whew!  Here's the email...Thank you for your email. I would just like to confirm that you are successfully registered for the 2010 Ford Ironman Wisconsin. We are in the process of uploading a new participant list so please keep checking the website for the most current list.

It's odd they've had a number of issues with payments, registration confirmations, and lists since registration opened up.  Doesn't this seem weird that a list of 2400 people they (WTC and Active.com) have had a hard time figuring out the basics?  I know this is small potatoes ... we got trainin' to do!  Oh, I almost forgot it's a REST DAY!

I was just scrolling through the list and noticed that one guy's first and last names were (obviously) flipped. Data entry error. So you might check under your first name in the last name column if you're not on there...

I have an extra hotel room at the Hilton Madison Monona Terrace (Host hotel).  It is for 9/10 - 9/13.  It is $385.00 a night.  If anybody wants it shoot me a PM and we can switch it to your name.  If I don't hear from anybody in the next couple of weeks, I'm going to cancel it.

Started my final four weeks of base training yesterday - with the real plan beginning on March 29. I've been out of town for a month and didn't get CRAP in! So it's on now. Who else is pumped to be training?!

I'm with you.  I'm wondering if I'm going to need training wheels since all my bike time has been on the trainer since fall.

I am ready!  I have been "horsing" around in the off season staying in shape, strength training, gaining some weight( wanted to put on about 7-8 lbs since I will lose that much during training), some swimming, running, trainer rides, etc.  But I am ready to begin a structured training plan!  March 15th I start!

I'm in week three of my thirty week plan and am very thankful to have a structured schedule again.  Without one, I don't have the best discipline!

Good luck with your training!

I don't technically start until 4/26 but will start training for the Madison half and will be swimming starting next week (had to get a tattoo redone).  I am also taking a class that is helping me drop a little BF before I get started, it ends the day before my IM training starts, so works out perfectly for me.  I thought about doing a 30 week plan, but am afraid of burnout, so stuck with what I can handle.  I am excited to get going!!

Is everyone else having a burst of spring weather? I did 50 miles outside today and it felt like heaven. I also realized I haven't logged 50 since October! I have a long way to go after some serious offseason slacking and injury recovery but I'm looking forward to the challenge! I just have to survive IMLP first

Great job Kristin!  I did 5.7 miles on the bike today! I was cleaning out the garage and just decided, what the heck, slipped on my cycling shoes and helmet and went out for a spin around the block.  No cycling apparel, no HRM, no computer, no chamois.  Was short, but felt good to be outside.  I still have until the 15th til I start "official" IMWI training.

Looking forward to making it up sometime this summer for some course riding!

Pansy

I did a little over 20 miles outside yesterday. Felt good to be out, but also made me realize I didn't put in nearly enough time on the trainer. At least my butt didn't hurt like my normal first ride of the year outside.

I was a serious slacker this winter, so my long ride right now is almost 16 miles It felt amazing! My legs need some more strength on the hills.

What half-iron distance races is everyone doing?

All this sunshine is making me want to start registering for races, but I'm not sure which ones. Last year, my Ironman was the ONLY triathlon I did all season, but this year will be different. I LOVE to race!

I'm doing IM Kansas 70.3 on June 6, then just 1 local sprint and 1 oly over the summer.

I love to race, too, but I can't afford (either money or wasted weekends) to be doing as many races as I've done in the past. The 70.3 I'm doing is only because I got free entry, and the sprint and olys are on my training plan as training days. After that, any weekend I'd spend racing would be kind of "wasted" as I'd need to be doing much more training than *just* that race

I am doing one half here in East-Central Wi. at High Cliff June 19th. I've done it a couple of times before so a good measuring stick for me. I will also do a half dozen or so sprints which are a lot more fun and give me short term goals.
