My race number for tomorrows 5k is number 1 it is certainly not because I am fast but because I was first to pickup a packet my only goal for tomorrow is to run slow and finish especially since I am working tonight then running.

I got a new saddle today, very exciting - the ISM Adamo Racing Saddle.  I took my bike down to a palce called Tri on the Run and we put it on a trainer and tried out a few different ones.  This saddle felt incredible!

The best part is I got home and figured I'd log an hour on the trainer and try out the saddle.  I got changed, got my water bottles ready, found a movie and went to put on my shoes and ..... yep, I left my shoes at the store.  It really sucks because the store is 30 miles away and in the center of Houston.  Going to go have a beer ...

I hope y'all have a great weekend of training or racing!

I have one of those saddles and I love it. Takes some getting used to, but if you can fight through the initial discomfort, your manhood will thank you for it.

Good luck Lance. Hope the number one is a good omen for you. Wish I could be out running-its snowing again here and I have to go coach a 6-8 year old basketball team. Mostly just herding cats.

5K DONE my time was 33:40 that means the pace was 10:50 or thereabouts.  Not setting any records but this is the first time since my knee surgery I have been able to stay under an 11 minute pace.

Good luck to those of you running half and fulls tomorrow.

Jeff I love my ISM saddle you will like it but you may end up sore in a little different area for your first few rides.
Going to get some sleep know since I work again tonight.

Awesome job! It's always such a nice feeling comparing where you are now to where you were at the time of a surgery. It's amazing how the body can heal and change! :D

The new ISM Adamo Racing Saddle is on the QR.  I got in an hour this morning and it is very comfortable.  Here are a couple of pics:

Yes, I am a dork.  I put a cheapo schwinn wireless on the back wheel so I could track miles and speed on the trainer.  It works okay - I strap the computer under the seat right over the "Tequilo" logo ... lol

Hey guys - I trialed an energy gel called Chocolate #9 Agave and did a review for the company.  They gave me a free box and I am raffling it off on my blog.  It is some good stuff (organic, gluten-free) - thought I would share - CLICK HERE if you want to enter!

OK I did my first real brick today. Rode five miles on the trainer and then did a run/walk for 30 minutes. I actually still ran more than walked and maintained a good pace for me. I will up the bike ride next time before the run. I do feel it in my legs now. FOught through some minor knee pain with some adjustments to my stride.

Bricks are great. I always feel like a two year old for about the first mile or so. Then things seem to straighten out. The wobble slowly turns into a stride. The more bricks you do the easier they will become. Keep it up!

Awesome, Terry. You did way better on your first one than I did on mine!

I'm gearing up for my second brick tomorrow. This time I'm planning on about a 12-mile ride followed by a 2.5-mile run. And when I say "planning," I mean "hoping I don't keel over."

Also, I now know something is seriously wrong with me. This morning I swam 1300 yards/35 minutes. In the rain.

Hi, my name is Josh. And I'm a triathlon-holic.
